David's RestaurantLast Friday my good friend Sue and I attended Portland’s First Friday and were fortunate enough to get into David’s for dinner without a reservation.  David’s is located at the base of Portland’s art district in Monument Square. We sat at a bar which is open to the kitchen and had front row seats to the spectacular meal preparations.  The atmosphere is lively and David's Restaurantthe waitstaff is attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.  We were served warm garlic knots and soft, crusty slices of bread accompanied by a saucer of grated parmesan cheese and herbs in olive oil for dipping.  Our wine Latour Grande Ardeche, France  which was suggested by our wonderful waitress was light and crisp.  For our entrees we both ordered bacon wrapped pork tenderloin and different sides. My pork was drizzled with a maple chipotle glaze.  Sue had garlic mashed potatoes and spinach and I chose fried potato salad and summer slaw.  Everything was superb!  Our dining experience was very relaxing and enjoyable.  I highly recommend David’s - please check them out!"
